2024-2025 Mountain View Middle School Online Registration

Dear Parents/Guardians,

 

We are so excited to see our students again. We have missed seeing their smiles in the lunch room, in hallways, and our classrooms. We are going to make sure we have a fun and productive year. COVID-19 continues to force schools to adjust from normal school operations. This year, we would like to try to have Mountain View Middle School Registration Online. Below are the mandatory steps parents/guardians need to complete to register their students and essential information for the 24-25 MVMS School Year. 

 

Step 1 - Register your child through our new online registration( Please register anytime after March 15, 2024).

Step 2 - Pick MVMS Electives (This will be done in School before we leave for summer break)-All students have Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies assigned.  In addition, 8th graders have Computer Applications, and 7th graders have PE and Health.  The other classes, 8th grade has five and 7th grade has four, both with two alternates, are up to the students to choose below.  Once students have submitted their choices, they are done.  Schedules will be made available on Infinite Campus by August 19th.  This is just a reminder that Class Selection will be done in school before students leave for the 2024 Summer Break. However, we wanted to show the process and how we assign classes to students. Students will also be given one last chance to change courses during the first three days of school. Students must pick up a "Change of Class" form from the office.

Step 3- Paying Fees - All Fees can be paid online through Infinite Campus. (Link will be come active on Wednesday, August 4, 2024)

P.E. Uniforms (Grey T- Shirts, Blue Shorts)

Students are required to wear school-issued PE uniforms. PE uniforms are available to purchase for the following prices. If students do not wish to purchase the PE uniform, then parents have the following options: 1) Parents will provide their student with a plain grey t-shirt and plain blue shorts, or 2) the school will issue students a gently used, clean PE uniform to use during the trimester. Students are responsible for the PE uniform that is checked out to them during the trimester and will be charged full price for the uniform if it is not returned at the end of the trimester.

All students participating in extracurricular sports (volleyball, cross country, wrestling, basketball, and track) need to pay this extracurricular fee to cover the cost of busing students.  ***Parents can wait to see if their student makes the sports team before paying this fee. ***

Important MVMS Information

 

  1. School Pictures – Bell Photography will be at MVMS numerous times in the fall to give all parents the opportunity to purchase school pictures. MVMS also uses student photos for the yearbook. Parents will be notified and given information as those picture dates get closer.

  2. MVMS Lockers – All students will be assigned a school locker. When students pick up their final class schedule their locker number and combination will be on the top of their class schedule.

  3. Immunizations - Idaho State code requires parents to provide MVMS with a copy of their immunizations. To register for MVMS students must show proof of having received or be up to date in receiving the following immunizations: 4 DPT, 3 Polio, 1 MMR, 3 Hepatitis B. In addition, the new State immunization law requires all incoming 7th Graders to have 1 Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap) and 1 Meningococcal. MVMS FAX Number (208) 785-8823.

  4.  District Registration Forms – Once school starts at MVMS we will send home any district registration forms with returning students. Parents can fill them out and send them to school with their students where we will collect those forms.

  5. New to the Blackfoot School District Registration – Students who are NEW to the Blackfoot School District can come to the MVMS Office on Tuesday, August 8th and Wednesday, August 9th, 2022 anytime between 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to register their student.

The Mountain View Middle School Office will be open 8:00 am to 4:00 pm daily starting on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 (MVMS is closed on Fridays). You are more than welcome to call us on the phone or come in and see us. We will be doing our best to practice social distancing in the office. Please understand and be patient if there is a line.
